Hot-dip Galvanizing offers the highest level of protection against corrosion and unparalleled protection for SCUBA Cylinders. However, they do come with a caveat. Cylinders that have been finished with the Hot-dipped galvanizing process often result in small blemishes and variations in color that is not as smooth as a painted finish. Over time, these blemishes will settle into a semi-uniform, silver, “mottled” appearance. Please understand and take this into account when making your cylinder selection

These are purely cosmetic and do not impact the integrity of the cylinder. All have passed
rigorous DOT manufacturing and testing requirements on sight prior to shipping.
